SYMPTOMS

• Problem extracting a derived channel beyond limits of 3D chromatogram error in message center when processing data 
• No results generated in Empower
• Enough free project table space
• Derived channel is set appropriately at 210 nm 

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 2
• Empower 3
• 2998
• PDA

CAUSE

• Wavelength range is set from 200-400 nm in the Instrument Method. 
• This range is too small for extracting a derived channel at 210 nm.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Edit Empower Instrument Method and collect range from 190-400 nm.
