SYMPTOMS

• Backups using the Waters Backup Utility do not execute

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower Personal
• Backup scripts are correctly configured
• Scheduled Task is correctly configured
• Backup job runs with the correct privileges

CAUSE

The Empower audit trail policies are set incorrectly.　

FIX or WORKAROUND

Set the Project Type system objects to "SILENT", not to Restricted or Unrestricted.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

If the Project Type object is set to Restricted or Unrestricted, a comment is required. The backup scheduled task runs in the background, but it is not possible to enter a comment. The task fails.

If the Project Type object is set to Confirm Identity a dialogue is displayed to enter the password. The backup scheduled task runs in the background, but it is not possible to enter the password. The task fails.
