"Failed to Start Application" error for Empower 3 - WKB50855

SYMPTOMS

• "Failed to Start Application" error message received when trying to review a chromatogram from Empower 3
• Reviewing the chromatogram is possible by running review from the Empower\bin directory

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

CAUSE

A banking software security program (WARSAW from GAS Technologia) interferes with access to the ntdll.dll needed to review data.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Remove the security software.
