SYMPTOMS

• Error: "Instrument method not specified in method set" when trying to run samples
• In Run samples, the method set is selected under "Method Set/Report or Export Method" column
• Under the View Method section, instrument method is blank

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 QuickStart

CAUSE

Instrument method not specified under the method set.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Specify instrument method in the drop-down menu in method set.
2. Save changes.
3. In Run Samples, specify the same instrument method as listed in the method set.
4. Click Run  .
