SYMPTOMS

• Report Publisher message: Unable to generate a report since there were no valid IDs upon which to base the report.
• Message Center Processing error: There are no channels specified to clear in method set.
• Message Center Processing error: This is usually caused by not specifying an instrument method in the method set. Processing aborted.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

CAUSE

You must specify an instrument method in the method set, or the resulting set will be empty, causing these errors.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Specify an instrument method in the method set.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When processing a sample set by using the processing method or method set, whether it be 3D (Use specified Method set) or 2D data, specify an instrument method in the method set to prevent this error.
