Empower 6890 Setup Failure error - WKB3301

SYMPTOMS

• Instrument Error: Setup Failure
• Failure to set up the back detector
• Running the GC on the front inlet and front detector

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Enterprise
• Agilent 6890

CAUSE

Back detector configured with settings in the Instrument Method.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Change the Back Inlet Type and Back Detector Type to None.
2. Save Method.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Make certain that the GC front panel flow setting matches the setting in the instrument method.
