SYMPTOMS
- Instrument Error: Setup Failure
- Failure to set up the back detector
- Running the GC on the front inlet and front detector
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3 Enterprise
- Agilent 6890
CAUSE
Back detector configured with settings in the Instrument Method.
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Change the Back Inlet Type and Back Detector Type to None.
- Save Method.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Make certain that the GC front panel flow setting matches the setting in the instrument method.
