Empower installation stalls at the Building the Empower Oracle Database step - WKB282870

SYMPTOMS

• Empower installation hangs indefinitely at the Building the Empower Oracle Database step
• CreatePDB.BAT remains running in the task manager

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3.6.0 or higher

CAUSE

Installation media was copied to a folder that contains spaces (e.g., F:\Media\Empower 3.8.1).

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Do not use spaces in the folder name or path to the media.
2. Copy the image (e.g., 667007113DDRevA.ISO) to the server or PC.
   • Mount the image.
   • Run the setup.exe.
