GC and LAC/E communication issues with Empower - WKB276224

SYMPTOMS

• GC and LAC/E communication issues
• All DCOM settings on the LAC/E look to be in order
• DHCP settings/connection with the LAC/E are good
• Agilent ICF 3.0 recently installed on the LAC/E and Empower server
• ICF release notes: Minimum supported firmware for a 7890A is A.01.16

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• Agilent ICF 3.0

CAUSE

The problematic GC has firmware A.01.12.1.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Update the firmware.
