ANSWER
During the sequence run, the user changed the sample name width in custom fields.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This problem is consistent with a failure to close and reopen the Empower applications running in a project after modifying the custom fields in that project. This is not a defect in Empower because the user failed to heed the warning to shut down the applications when modifying custom fields.
