SYMPTOMS

• Jobs stay pending
• Waters EPMS Project Migration Tool Service does not start or does not start logging

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• Waters EPMS Project Migration Tool

CAUSE

1. The Domain account running the EPMS service is not in the local administrator group. The service cannot start logging.
2. The machines running the EPMS service do not have fixed IP addresses.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Add the Domain account to the local administrator group.
2. Assign the EPMS machines fixed IP addresses.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When configuring backup jobs, be sure to set a UNC share path to migrate the projects to.
