Impurity response field is empty for group peak - WKB250566

SYMPTOMS

• All sample injections show empty impurity response field for group peak
• Custom field "XXXX" is selected on the Impurity tab of the processing method

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3.6.1

CAUSE

When using a custom field for the impurity response where impurity groups are present, Empower does not calculate the total impurity response for the individual groups. The logic to calculate impurity response sum in the case of a custom field is missing. If instead of a custom field one of the standard calculations is selected as impurity response, everything works as expected.

FIX or WORKAROUND

This issue is fixed in Empower 3.8.0.

Workaround:

In "Impurity Component Type" list, select "Related Substance".
Go to Processing Method > Components, select "Related Substance" in "Component Type" for Group Peak.
Click on Integrate > Quantitate and find Impurity Response shows custom field result.
