Cannot bring Hitachi LC instrument online with Empower 3.6.1 - WKB249558

SYMPTOMS

• Error: Shimadzu GC system licenses are not found 

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3.6.1
• Hitachi LC control
• Reproduced on FR3 and FR4

CAUSE

The 667004090 kit (Hitachi LC Control License, rev. 5) does not support Empower 3.6.1.

FIX or WORKAROUND

• For Empower 3.6.1 and higher, the license must be activated with the 176003678 kit (Hitachi LC Control 1 Pack).
• Empower FR4 or lower may need to use kit 667005243 (Hitachi Driver SW 8).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Found in testing [INFEMP-12997] Incorrect message is displayed when you want to create a Hitachi LC system and no Hitachi LC license is available.

Fixed in Empower 3.7.0.
