Control panel in Run Samples is blank in Empower - WKB249128

SYMPTOMS

• From any Empower client, the control panel in Run Samples is completely blank, displaying no instrument modules

• However, if Run Samples is launched from the Project window, the control panel appears correctly

• From the LAC/E32, the control panel also appears properly in Run Samples

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Enterprise
• Amazon app stream

CAUSE

McAfee SR # <4 23286966611>: Exclusions are not applied by the "Running processes" Scan. McAfee ENS does not identify the exclusion during the On-Demand scan or weekly scan if the application-related process (excluded from scans) is found to be running. Essentially, McAfee ignores running processes in excluded folders and scans them anyway, blocking the executable.

FIX or WORKAROUND

• Upgrade McAfee to a later release that includes a fix to this defect (details not currently available), OR
• Disable McAfee
