ACQUITY communications lost, console dimmed - WKB241233

SYMPTOMS

• No communications to ACQUITY; dimmed windows in Run Samples and dimmed and missing info in the Console
• Limited control over SM; can prime syringes but no live diagnostics; everything else unresponsive
• Antivirus and other issues ruled out; instruments can be pinged; other (Alliance) insturments on LAC/E communicate OK

CAUSE

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Uninstall and reinstall the ICS on the LAC/E (communications restored and stable).
2. Reinstall only ICs required for installed modules (previously, all ICs were on the LAC/E).
