Empower Configuration Manager fails when multiple projects are backed up - WKB226963

SYMPTOMS

• Empower Configuration Manager fails when multiple projects are backed up in a single action
• The failure appears immediately after starting the backup
• Individual projects can be backed up successfully

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Feature Release 5 Service Release 4

CAUSE

The permissions on the directory x:\empower\logs does not allow the OS user to write files in this location. This is the default location where the multiple-project backup or restore creates summary log files.  

FIX or WORKAROUND

Configure the permissions at the OS level to allow the users running Empower to write to this directory.
