Cannot open the Waters DHCP application in Empower - WKB226853

SYMPTOMS

• When opening Waters DHCP, application does not launch
• There is no issue with antivirus software
• Verify Files shows "No Installation changes"
• Waters DHCP Server runs without any errors

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower (all versions)

CAUSE

Corrupted Waters DHCP configuration file. File is in location <<Installation Drive>>:\Empower\Instruments folder with name DHCP.XML.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Go to Services and stop the Waters DHCP Server service.
2. Go to the <<Installation Drive>>:\Empower\Instruments folder and move DHCP.XML to another location.
3. Open the Waters DHCP Server Configuration.exe file. Waters DHCP Service should start automatically and the Waters DHCP application should launch without any issues.
4. Restart the computer and instruments.
