Error with Empower 3 and Agilent 7890 GC: "Method does not match current hardware configuration and requires manual resolution" - WKB226167

SYMPTOMS

• Recorded in Message Center: "Method does not match current hardware configuration and requires manual resolution"
• Even if set up, the numbers according to the instrument method are not reflected on the main unit
• Last time used without 7697, presets were not reset; specified GC Back in the instrument method option while the 7697 was still connected
• This time using headspace
• If Yes selected for "Do you want to change to the current instrument configuration when you open the instrument method?", issue does not improve
• Rebooting LAC/E and resetting presets does not improve

ENVIRONMENT

• Agilent 7890 GC
• Agilent 7697A Headspace

CAUSE

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Restart the LAC/E with the Empower screen closed.
2. Create a new instrument method.
