No, the Method Validation Administrator user type cannot be edited.

A customer can define an MVM user type to meet their requirements.


The Method Validation Chemist user type shares all of the same privileges as the default Chemist user type and adds "Save Validation Studies".

The Method Validation Administrator user type shares all the same privileges as the default Chemist user type and adds:

Validation Administrator, Save Validation Protocol Methods, Delete Validation Protocol Methods, Approve Validation Protocol Methods, Save Validation Studies, Approve Validation Study Data, Alter Project Type, Override Validation Data Checks, Clear Read-Only Validation Studies, Delete Validation Studies

Plus these privileges:
View System Audit Trail, Lock Channels, Unlock Channels, Alter/Create/Delete/Lock/Unlock Custom Fields, Create/Delete Default Strings, Sign Off Results 1 and 2, Specify Report Method for Signoff, Make View Filters Public, Alter Any Queue, Alter Any Project, Create Projects at the Root, Delete Projects, Change Parent Project, Change Project owner, Create/Change/Specify Project Path, View Multiple Projects, Delete Instrument Methods, Delete Locked Methods, Delete Processing Methods, Delete Report Method, Modify Default Report Methods, Modify Default Report Groups, Delete Sample Set Methods, Delete Sample Set Method Templates, Delete Method Sets

There are two inherent privileges assigned by selecting the Management privilege "Validation Administrator":

1. Disapprove any approvals, regardless of who approved it originally
2. Remove Signed Off Result Sets and Validation Results from a Validation Study

These two privileges cannot be granted individually.
