SYMPTOMS

  • Empower installation progress stalls at the Building the Empower Oracle Database step

CAUSE

The Operating System user used to perform Empower installation does not have complete Administrative privileges on the computer.

FIX or WORKAROUND

  1. Ensure the Operating System user used to perform Empower installation is a member of the local Administrators group on the computer. This can be verified in Computer Management > Local Users and Groups > Groups > Administrators

 2. Ensure the Operation System user used to perform Empower installation is assigned the Administrator user type in Control Panel > User Accounts > Manage User Accounts. Select the user of interest and select Properties.
