In Empower, the Agilent Setup and Monitor button freezes - WKB21851

SYMPTOMS

• The Setup and Monitor button "freezes" when selected

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• Agilent
• Run Sample window

CAUSE

When the instrument freezes, there is a configuration difference between the method in use and the system configured.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Before selecting Setup and Monitor in the Run Sample window, select Edit.

A message appears if the instrument method does not match the instrument configuration based on the Preconfiguration utility and the actual instrument. The user should select "yes" when asked whether to apply a configuration change. The instrument method adapts to the current configuration and, once saved and applied as setup and monitor, it will not freeze.
