Aborting the monitor function does not return Agilent 7890B GC instrument status back to Idle in Empower - WKB208125

SYMPTOMS

• Aborting the monitor function does not return Agilent GC instrument status back to Idle
• After abort, Empower status goes "System Idle", whereas Empower Run icon is not enabled back. 
• The issue is reproducible only on 7890B.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Enterprise
• Agilent Instrument Control Framework (ICF SL v3.5)
• Agilent 7890B

CAUSE

The 7890B instrument status does not return back to Idle.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Press the stop key on the GC front panel. This action will be recorded in the Empower message center as "The run was stopped by the instrument's stop button" or
2. Reboot the LAC/E/acquisition client to get the instrument status back to Idle.
