How to rename exported files with Empower 3? - WKB203082

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

• When a result is sent to LIMS multiple times with Empower, the exported files are sent to LIMS with the same name because the naming convention is "unique name" + "result ID".txt.
  Rename the exported files since the files with the same name is not convenient for LIMS.

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

PROCEDURE

You cannot change the file name in an export that uses the normal export method.
It is possible to enter the file name if you manually export the files only when you have to send it multiple times.
The procedures are as follows.
■ Procedures
- Select the desired result on the "Result" tab of the Project screen.
- Select "Database" menu > Export data
- Select the export method on the Export screen, select the "Override Export Method File Defaults" check box.
Set the file name and store location and click OK

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- Is it possible to manually export multiple results at once with multiple results selected?
→ Yes, it is possible.
- Does the file name set on the Export screen become the file name as it is?
→ "File name + result ID" will be the file name.
