2424 ELSD Ethernet Module not populating in DHCP - WKB200225

SYMPTOMS

• After power outage, Empower cannot connect to 2424
• 2695 and 2996 controlled by IEEE OK
• After deleting the 2424 in the DHCP and recycling power, the DHCP does not populate
• Network card configuration correct 
• No change to firewall status 
• Attempts to reboot after configuring the DHCP through C:\Empower\Instruments\Waters DHCP Server Configuration.exe did not resolve the problem (see  WKB7330)

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Empower 3 Personal
• 2424 Evaporative Light Scattering Detector

CAUSE

The DHCP Server is not configuring correctly through C:\Empower\Instruments\Waters DHCP Server Configuration.exe and needs to be configured via the configuration manager in Empower.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Open the Configuration Manager in Empower.
2. Select "Systems", right-click on the system with the modules that are not communicating, and select Node Properties.
   
   
    
3.  On the Configure DHCP tab, select the the Configure DHCP button.
   
   
    
4. Follow the instructions shown in WKB7330.
