User can save an instrument method using "Save with Method Set”, even if the “Save Instrument Method” privilege is turned off and “Save Method Set” is turned on in Empower 3 - WKB19890

SYMPTOMS

• When adding an Agilent LC in Instrument Method, "Save With Method Set" is available (see screen shot below)
• On any ACQUITY or Waters system, "Save With Method Set" is unavailable.
• All projects in use have Owner, Group, and World with Users Own Type as Group User Type and World User Type; the user account is not a member of any group, and no groups are selected on the Access tab.

PCS: 49276

FIX or WORKAROUND

The PCS/defect is fixed in Empower 3 Feature Release 2 SR2 HF2.
