Ethernet communication error "OK? No"; unable to reset - WKB19236

SYMPTOMS

• Resetting the module in Communication failure with 2489 in Empower run samples does not resolve issue
• 2489 is listed as "OK? No" on the Instruments tab in node properties
• DHCP populates with the 2489 IP address and MAC address; Type and Name are blank
• No antivirus running and the firewall is disabled
• Restarting the system and the computer does not resolve the issue
• Rebuilding DHCP does not resolve the issue

• 2489 Dual-Wavelength Absorbance Detector
• 2998 Photodiode Array Detector
• Windows 2007
• Configuration #15 LAC/E32 Acquisition Server
• PCI BUS/LAC/E board installed

CAUSE

Incorrect BUS/LAC/E Driver start type

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Run C:\Empower\BuslaceDrivers64\SetBuslaceSvcStartType.bat.
2. Reboot the LAC/E32.
