SYMPTOMS

• "Validation error" when changing password 

• The old password is typed correctly

ENVIRONMENT

• Learning Management System (LMS)
• eLearning

CAUSE

The new password did not match the criteria for password creation.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Create a new password that conforms to criteria.
2. Password criteria:

• Length must be between 8 and 40 characters
• Cannot repeat a character more than twice
• Must contain at least one English uppercase letter (A-Z)
• Must contain at least one English lowercase letter (a - z)
• Must contain at least one Arabic numeral (0 - 9)
• Must contain at least one nonalphanumeric special character (! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _ + = { } [ ] ' " : ; | \)
