Queued-up sample set runs twice after the first sample set fails in Empower - WKB15533
Article number: 15533
SYMPTOMS
- While a sample set is running, a second sample set is queued up
- A failure occurs during the first sample set, causing acquisition to stop; when the second set is started, it runs twice
ENVIRONMENT
- Empower 3
CAUSE
When a failure occurs during the first sample set, causing the acquisition to stop, the second (queued-up) set sits in the queue (on the Sample Sets tab) dormant (the Dormant checkbox is selected) and does not automatically start.
In an effort to start the second, queued-up sample set, the user loads the second set again (by loading the Sample Set Method, for example) and starts it.
After this sample set completes successfully, the queued-up sample set then starts, thus creating another data set.
FIX or WORKAROUND
To start a queued-up sample set that is dormant, clear the Dormant checkbox. The queued sample set should start immediately after clearing the box.
