Cannot calculate Mw or Mn +1 for Broad Unknowns in GPC - WKB1480

SYMPTOMS

• Narrow standards curve looks good  
• Can see Mp, but cannot see the Mw or the Mn+1 for Sample, which are Broad Unknown

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower
• GPC

CAUSE

Sample Type for Unknowns is set incorrectly.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Log in to Empower, and then click Browse Project.
2. Select Project and click OK.
3. In the Project window, highlight Sample Set, right click, and click on Alter sample.
4. In the Sample type column change the Unknown to Broad Unknown.
5. Click File, and then Save.
6. Reprocess sample.
