With Empower, gradient start before injection in QSM-R instrument method is not operating correctly - WKB14666

SYMPTOMS

• Gradient start before injection in QSM-R instrument method is not operating correctly
• When set, regardless of changing volume or time, the chromatogram for gradient start before injection looks like the gradient start at injection
• Gradient start after injection looks OK 

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Feature Release 3 (FR3)
• ACQUITY Arc
• Waters Driver Pack 2017 Release 1 (DP 2017 R1)

CAUSE

The issue with gradient start before the injection only occurs if you have a solvent select valve.

This has been verified by test and development.
 

FIX or WORKAROUND

The issue has been added to the defect database as PCS-35595, and it will be addressed in the next ICS for ACQUITY Arc.
