Error: "Order number not valid for company indicated" during licensing in Empower 3 using the licensing wizard - WKB13974

SYMPTOMS

• "Order number not valid for company indicated" error message appears after typing the license serial number on the Waters license activation website

ENVIRONMENT

CAUSE

In Waters' SAP database, the order number on file did not match the company name that the user specified on the licensing website.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Use correct order number that matches company name.
2. Alternative: use the license number in the appropriate field instead of order number.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

It is possible that the correct order number is being used, but the wrong syntax of the company name is being entered into the activation page. Ensure that the company name/syntax entered into the license activation page is the same as found on the order.
