SYMPTOMS
- ACQUITY BSM control panel is blank in run samples
- Can control the BSM in the ACQUITY Console
- Instrument is communicating with Empower
ENVIRONMENT
- ACQUITY BSM
- Empower 3
CAUSE
Corrupt instrument driver for the BSM
FIX or WORKAROUND
Reinstall BSM instrument control software:
- Go to Start > All Programs > Empower > Remove Instrument Component Software. This opens the deployment manager.
- Choose custom.
- Select the BSM driver to uninstall.
- Reboot the PC.
- Reinstall the BSM driver.
- Reboot the PC.
- Run as normal.
