Empower message center error "System Controller Act Off" for Shimadzu LC 2010 - WKB126018

SYMPTOMS

• "System Controller Act Off" error in Empower message center
• Error reported while running a sample set with Shimadzu LC 2010

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Shimadzu LC 2010
• Shimadzu LC driver pack 1
• Shimadzu LC drivers v4.04 and earlier Versions. 

CAUSE

Pressing the ACT button from the Shimadzu LC 2010 while running a sample set causes a "System Controller Act Off" error to be reported.

FIX or WORKAROUND

To avoid this issue, do not press the ACT button on Shimadzu LC 2010.

 Shimadzu LC 2010 is an absolute module, and the driver is in the limited support phase.
