2998 control panel is empty in the Empower Run Samples window - WKB125152

SYMPTOMS

• 2998 control panel is empty in the Empower Run Samples window
• Monitoring the baseline is possible
• Injections are possible
• If AcquityConsole.exe is launched from File Explorer, the 2998 shows up correctly in that window
• No firewall or antivirus is running
• COM security is set up to give "Everyone" full control for both "Access Permissions" and "Launch and Activation Permissions"
• Restarting both the PC and the system does not help

CAUSE

Unknown

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Close the Run Samples window.
2. In Empower's Configuration Manager window, take the system offline, and then bring it back online.
3. Open the Run Samples window to verify that the control panel is now populated.
