SYMPTOMS

• Error : "Agilent LC Setup has failed, due to discrepancies between method configuration and on-line instrument configuration."

• Error: Agilent LC Communication: A Configuration Change Event has been reported. An instrument has been removed or added to the current system. It is recommended that you Re-Identify your system to detect the new configuration."

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 2
• Empower 3
• Agilent LC Control Software v1.06.1007
• A1100 firmware vA.06.04
• System is defined as A1100

CAUSE

PCS# 47944

FIX or WORKAROUND

Move to instrument control using Agilent Instrument Control Framework (ICF), and define systems as an AgilentLC instead of A1100.

• Minimum ICF is v2.13
