OBJECTIVE or GOAL

• Synchronize the time on the client PC with the time server

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3 Enterprise

PROCEDURE

* You must log in to the client PC with administrator privileges.
* Roughly, 1. Registry change and 2. Service change will be performed.

1. Change the registry value.
(1) Enter "regedit" in the search box from the Start button at the bottom left of the desktop and press Enter.
(2) The Registry Editor opens.
(3) Check the following registry key.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters
(4) If the place "Type" in (3) is "NoSync", synchronization is not executed.
Change "Type" to "NT5DS".

2. Change the service settings.
(5) Right-click "Computer” from the Start button at the bottom left of the desktop and select Manage.
(6) Select "Services and Applications"-"Services" in the tree on the left side of the "Computer Management" window.
(7) Right-click "Windows Time" in the list displayed on the right side of the window to open the properties.
(8) The Windows Time Properties window opens.
(9) Set "Startup Type" to "Manual".
(10) Click the Apply button and click OK.
(11) Right-click "Windows Time" in the service list of the Computer Management window and select Start.
(12) Restart your PC and check that the time setting is the same as the synchronized PC.
