SYMPTOMS
- Cannot connect to Waters DHCP Server through C drive or Node
- Host file not blank
- Firewalls/security inactive
- Waters DHCP Server service cannot be started in Windows services
ENVIRONMENT
- Breeze 2
- Microsoft Vista Business OS
- Empower 3
CAUSE
Corrupt DHCP.xml file
FIX or WORKAROUND
- In the folder C:\Empower\Instruments, rename DHCP.xml to DHCP_old.xml.
- Start the Windows service "Waters DHCP Server" (this creates a new DHCP.xml file).
- Open Waters DHCP server configuration.
- Restart Ethernet instruments.
