Waters DHCP Server not responding in Breeze 2, Empower - WKB118082

SYMPTOMS

• Cannot connect to Waters DHCP Server through C drive or Node 
• Host file not blank
• Firewalls/security inactive 
• Waters DHCP Server service cannot be started in Windows services

ENVIRONMENT

• Breeze 2
• Microsoft Vista Business OS
• Empower 3

CAUSE

Corrupt DHCP.xml file

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. In the folder C:\Empower\Instruments, rename DHCP.xml to DHCP_old.xml.
2. Start the Windows service "Waters DHCP Server" (this creates a new DHCP.xml file).
3. Open Waters DHCP server configuration.
4. Restart Ethernet instruments.
