- Can ping the instrument LAN card

CAUSE
Wrong IP address in the PreConfiguration tool
FIX or WORKAROUND
- Use local host within the Agilent PreConfiguration tool.
- Reboot the LAC/E.

Step 2 stipulates using "localhost" for workstations.
