SYMPTOMS

• Instrument panels are blank in Empower
• Status =No in node properties
• Can ping the instrument LAN card

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3
• Agilent GC with or without Headspace
• Agilent 6890N
• Agilent 7890
• Agilent G5664a

CAUSE

Wrong IP address in the PreConfiguration tool

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Use local host within the Agilent PreConfiguration tool.
2. Reboot the LAC/E.
