ANSWER

No. Oracle Transparent Application Failover (TAF) should be set to disabled for the Empower application. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This caused an issue in a customer environment where a transaction failed and had to roll back. CRI-2463 raised. Injections no longer associated with sample set. Error messages in message center:

• Oracle Error ORA-25405: transaction status unknown
• Oracle Error ORA-25402: transaction must roll back
• Oracle Error -2 trying to get next valid ID
