The instrument method does not appear in the instrument method editor when running Empower on the database server - WKB108064

SYMPTOMS

• The instrument method cannot be seen in the instrument method editor when running Empower on the database server
• The instrument method appears correctly in the instrument method editor when running Empower on a LAC/E 32
• The instrument method is for an Agilent GC system

ENVIRONMENT

• Empower 3

CAUSE

The Agilent ICF, which is needed to view the instrument method, is not loaded on the database server, and that is normal.

FIX or WORKAROUND

There is no workaround needed.

Instrument drivers are not typically loaded onto the Empower database server.
If they are installed, the instrument method would then be viewable.

Instrument drivers must be loaded onto the LAC/E 32, directly connected to the instrument, and on the Empower clients being used with the system.
