SYMPTOMS

• Agilent preconfiguration is set up properly
• Able to set up instrument method in Run Samples window
• Able to monitor in Run Samples window

CAUSE

The loop size installed on the HS is 1000 µL, but attempt is made to inject less than 1000 µL.

FIX or WORKAROUND

Set the injection volume in the sample set to 1000 µL. You can change the loop volume in preconfiguration to 0.001 mL if you want to set the injection volume to 1 µL.  However, the HS injection volume will be based on the installed loop volume. To inject less, you must physically install the preferred loop size and then pull in the HS configuration through the preconfiguration. Ultimately, the injection volume in the sample set must match the installed loop volume.
