Cannot restore project and sub-projects from Empower 1 to Empower 3 - WKB10181

SYMPTOMS

• Project backups are done in Empower 1 and all have .exp and .inf files, and some projects have raw data files.
• Just one project with 540 sub-projects not restoring. All other backups restore successfully.
• The Project restore wizard in Empower 3 does not give options of child projects to select, it only restores an empty parent.
• Individually able to restore some of the sub-projects.

• Empower 1

• Citrix
• Client Server

CAUSE

Unknown.

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Copy the backup from remote to local drive.
2. Restore using the Empower project restore wizard.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

sometimes there may be a access issue where we cant restore project hence move to a local drive and restore the project instead on network drive.
