Can we use compressed air instead of nitrogen on a Positive Pressure-96 Manifold? - WKB87725

Article number: 87725

ENVIRONMENT

  • Solid-phase extraction (SPE)
  • Positive Pressure-96 Manifold

ANSWER

Yes, compressed air is acceptable. However, it is important to use an oil-free compressor to supply the unit, a dryer must be  installed inline between the air source unit and the instrument. Failing to do so can result in condensation (and contaminants) entering the pneumatics and the manifold, causing malfunction of the instrument and the manifold itself.
