In addition, the XP hardware is considered "low dispersion" hardware.

The hardware can also withstand back pressures that are much higher than those with traditional HPLC columns.

XP columns packed in a 4.6-mm internal diameter have a maximum back pressure rating of 9,000 psi (620 bar).

XP columns packed in a 2.1-mm or 3.0-mm internal diameter have a maximum back pressure rating of 18,000 psi (1,034 bar).
