Is it normal to see recrystallization of the reconstituted AccQ•Tag derivatization reagent? - WKB195602

Article number: 195602

ENVIRONMENT

  • AccQ•Tag
  • AccQ•Fluor
  • Derivatization

ANSWER

Yes. This will occur on occasion and is normal.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

With proper storage, the reconstituted AccQ•Tag reagent provides a super-saturated solution to ensure efficient derivatization reactions over a period of days.  Sometimes a precipitate or crystals will be visible as the solution cools after reconstitution or as the vial sits in desiccant storage.
