Why does one GlycoWorks RapiFluor-MS protocol call for a 3% RapiGest SF concentration while a different protocol calls for a 5% RapiGest SF? - WKB194900

Article number: 194900

ENVIRONMENT

  • N-released glycan analysis
  • Solid-phase extraction (SPE)
  • Buffer compatibility
  • GlycoWorks RapiFluor-MS

ANSWER

The protocol that uses a 3% RapiGest SF concentration calls for addition of 10 µL of the RapiGest SF solution to the glycoprotein.

This protocol is designed for a QC lab environment; the addition (10 µL) helps minimize any error caused by pipettes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Results obtained from using both protocols are comparable.

The protocol that calls for 3% RapiGest SF solution and the use of 10 µL of the RapiGest solution is in these documents:

The protocol that calls for 5% RapiGest SF solution and the use of 6 µL of the RapiGest SF solution is in these documents:
