'Tune' button greyed out/unresponsive

SYMPTOMS

• Tune button on Cyclic Sequence Control page or the main Quartz Tune Page is greyed out and inactive. 
• Tune page responsive otherwise
• 'Reset instrument' via Masslynx button (Typhoon reset) has no impact

ENVIRONMENT

• Cyclic IMS system
• Precision Tower DELL
• Masslynx SCN1016 V4.2, R8
• Waters Embedded Analyser platform R12.2
• Windows 10

CAUSE

This is a known software issue in WEAP release 12 and is listed in the release notes. 

FIX or WORKAROUND

1. Run an MS method from the sample list for approximately 10 seconds. The method can be allowed to run or stopped after this time. 
2. The 'Tune' button will now be available to click
