Venting and powering-off the instrument for routine maintenance

IMPORTANT:
- Venting and powering-off the instrument is a task best performed by advanced users or maintenance personnel. Attempt this operation only if you understand the consequences of errors committed while doing so.
- If you intend to power-off the instrument, vent the instrument before you discontinue power.
To vent the instrument:
To vent the instrument, from the navigation menu, if the instrument is in Operate mode, click 
(Source Standby), and then click Vent instrument. When a pump or vent command is issued, the status of the operation updates in real time.
To power-off the instrument once vented:
To power-off the mass spectrometer once vented, disconnect the power cable from the electrical outlet.
