OBJECTIVE or GOAL

In Empower, start a 1525 pump, which is to be used only to flush the column.

ENVIRONMENT

• 1525 Binary HPLC Pump
• Empower 3

PROCEDURE

A chromatographic system that includes only the pump will not start because there is no "trigger" to start the run. To get the pump to work:

1. Configure an optical detector.
2. Create a new instrument method and chromatographic system.
