ANSWER

The Waters Driver Pack 2020 Release 1 has a new function to easily turn off the CCBSM chillers. Use of the turn off function is highly recommended when not operating the UPC2 System; it can extend chiller lifetime and reduce repairs. Turning off the chillers can be accomplished in any of three ways:

1. Quick turn off the chillers from the ACQUITY Control Panel in Empower Run Samples or MassLynx Inlet Editor.

2. Quick turn off the chillers from the ACQUITY Console Binary Solvent Manager > Control tab.

3. Turn off the chillers in the Console using an Automatic cooler-shutdown time. The turn off time can be up to 999 minutes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Turning on pump head cooling is not working this way. Cooling will start when pump is being primed or flow is turned on.
