How to replace the 2767 fraction collector valve - WKB120680

OBJECTIVE or GOAL

  • Replace the 2767 fraction collector valve (205000155 - SOLENOID, DIVERT VALVE, 100 PSI, 3-WAY 2POS)

 

ENVIRONMENT

  • 2767 Sample Manager

 

PROCEDURE

Shut down MassLynx.

Power-off the 2767 Sample Manager.

Slowly move the position of the injector arm toward you for easier replacement. (See Figure 1.)

Remove the transparent protective cover from the injector.

With a 3-mm hex wrench, remove the three screws circled in Figure 2.

After removing the protective cover, remove the two fittings circled in Figure 3.

It may be difficult to remove these two fittings because the ferrules may be stuck together.

Be careful not to twist the tube.

With nippers, cut the band that holds the cable (see Figure 4).

Be careful not to accidentally disconnect the yellow and red cables.

Disconnect the yellow cable and red cable connectors (see Figure 5).

With a flat-blade screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in Figure 6. 

The collector valve can be removed by the above procedures.

Replace the collector valve with a new one.

The collector valve has a certain orientation; be careful to maintain it in installation. (See Photo 3.)

The band cut in Figure 4 has a replacement band (white) in the included bag.
